See Player Checklists Here    See Form List Here

Parents GroupMe Chat

The official Groupme for parents to talk to each other, ask the coaches questions, and coordinate things like: rides, team dinners, or other activities.

We are phasing out the use of the Team Stack App as of the Parents Meeting held February 20, 2025.

2025 Team Dinner / Treat Signup

Parent Volunteers help build team unity which is so important. Part of that unity involves team dinners. It takes a village to feed a team! So please signup for at least 2 slots for dinners or snacks. And thank you for helping make this years team great.

Text Reminders - for the Boys

We will send out texts via Remind to the boys for various information about games, practices, etc. Please make sure your student athelete texts the following to sign up for the reminders:

text @provoboysl to 81010

It should work just fine on any phone they can get text messages on, including flip phones and Gabb phones. But note there is an app that you can download on a device as well. (sorry, I mispoke at the parents meeting as it can be used without the app, if setup by the class admin).

Game Day Volunteers

We need help with the following on game days. Please sign up below if you can help with any of these things:

  • National Anthem & Lineup - Home Games only. Involves clicking to play the song on a phone so it plays over the stadium speakers at the beginning of each game, up in the booth. Also announce the starting lineups for both teams.
  • Clock - Home games only. Talk to Coach Ray (Kevin) for more information.
  • Stats - Home and Away games. Need extra eyes on stats. Can use the stats sheet listing under resources of this sight. Coach Carl can help you if your are interested. Takes a couple of games to get the swing of it down.

Bulldogs Lacrosse Team Store

Store Closes March 3, 2025

Equipment Your Boy Needs

Required Equipment (minimum):

  • Mouthguard - protect that dental work and beautiful smile.
  • Cleats - Artificial Turf versions. Can be ones used for artificial turf sports like Soccer, Football, or Lacrosse
  • Full Water Bottle - full each practice.
  • Goalies reuired to have athletic cup and chin/neck guard for helmet

Recommended Equipment:

  • Athletic Cup - recommended, but required for goalies.
  • Crosse (aka lacrosse stick) - Recommended that each player has their own stick. We have extras to use. Entry level sticks can be purchased at sporting goods stores locally such as Al's for about $50-$60 for STX brand. Storm Lacrosse in American Fork is highly recommended by some of the coaches for sticks ranging from entry level to higher performance gear (ranging from approx $40 to $300).

Optional Equipment:

  • Latex Gloves - on cold days & games. Coach Carl calls them "blue smurf gloves". Helps keep hands warm - a little.
  • Balaclava (ski mask) - for cold days & games. Some players like wo use these under their helmets, others don't like them. But some find they sweat too much too. Make sure it is thinner as a thick material makes getting a helmet on a real chore.

Recommended Once Your Boy Commits to the Game More:

  • Gloves - We have some pairs boys can use, but they are limited availibility. You can get basic gloves fairly semi-inexpensively in the STX brand at Al's (if in stock, as it does fluxuate each month). Some players will later spend $140-$200 for gloves that are better performing after a few months to a couple of years of play. But basic gloves are fine if your son wants their own gloves.
  • Elbow Pads - We have some pairs boys can use, but they are limited availibility. You can get entry level elbow fairly semi-inexpensively in the STX brand at Al's (if in stock, as it does fluxuate each month). Some players will later spend more for nicer elbow pads that are better performing after a year or two of play. But basic level is fine if your son wants their own elbow pads.
  • Chest Pads - We have some boys can use. These strap on over the shoulders and protect the chest from impacts with the ball or other player's sticks. They are required to have the NOCSAE (or EKG "heartbeat" indicator) tag & ratings. Prices can range from $60 to $160 locally for various brands and models.

Good Places to Look for Equipment:
Buying online sometimes is hard to do to ensure the correct and comfortable fit so if you are unsure about items, two places locally that coaches recommend are:

  • Storm Lacrosse - Located in American Fork. They have expert knowledge on gear and can help you in a lot of ways. Highly recommended by 2 of our Coaches.
  • Al's Sporting Goods - Located in Orem on the "backside" of University Place (East side closer to the theaters). In season (and pre-season) they have a decent selection of entry to mid level sticks and gear. Make sure to only select boys gear as the girls selections are on the same row.
  • Our Official Team Store - Decent pricing and entry level and above equipment comparable to Al's Sporting Goods (elbow pads, chest pads, gloves, sticks, etc). See links on this page but note the official store is only open for a couple weeks. Currently Closes Early March 2025.
