Provo High Boys Lacrosse is currently a "no-cut" sports team which means you can join the team at anypoint during the season, even if you have never played lacrosse before but think this is a sport you want to learn more about. We welcome all experience levels and love teaching new players the sport. So if you want to try lacrosse out for the very first time ever, come to one of our practices after school at 5PM Mon-Fri (on non-game days). Some (limited) equipment is available to use if you want to try lacrosse out. Lacrosse helmets are provided.
"Fall Ball" Pre-Season Practices start in September and run until the first couple of weeks in December and are held on Mondays and Thursdays at 5:30PM to 7:00PM, either in the stadium or the North practice field depending upon scheduling.
Pre-Season Practices start the firt Monday after students return to school from the Winter break and run until official practices begin in February. These practices are usually held Monday thru Friday and typically start at 5PM (practice times and days of the week determined each January), either in the stadium or the North practice field depending upon scheduling.
Season Practices start in February and are held daily for 2 hours, either in the stadium or the North practice field depending upon scheduling (non-game days). Regular season practice starting times will be determined sometime in January/February but tyically start about 5PM. These practices are mandatory for players to attend.
Note: limited quantities of protective gear and crosses (sticks) are available for new players to try out the game. Helmets are provided.
Below are required things (first 2) for all players as well as suggested items which should be completed by mid to late February (before official tryouts each year) to play the full season, or as soon as possible if joining the boys lax teams after tryouts.
